PichiAvo is a Spanish based artist duo, composed by Pichi and Avo that together create graffiti design in the streets while mixing it with Greek gods and giving its artistic creations a Renaissance touch to this modern art.
The duo is recognized for their ability to ignite relationships between art, sculpture, architecture, space and social contexts. Their style adopts a focus which is both beautiful and performative, firm in its discussion and the perfect deconstruction of classic art and contemporary urban art, to create a new fusion, which while faithful to its traditional heritage, creates a new and exciting vision of art.
PichiAvo is together as a team since 2007, fleeing from the self-centeredness of graffiti, united to create a single piece of work, reciting a conceptually urban poetry, born from the artistic formalism of the street, transferring fragments of a wall to the canvas and from the canvas to the wall in a personal version. The final result is majestic!
Years of history, ancestral culture is what Greece brings us, revives nowadays with this unique street artists. Mythology with its gods and goddesses and an infinity of stories influenced by traditional ancient Greek sculpture.
The shading and coloring techniques, as well as the precision of the strokes, leave each piece sparkling, and everything is done using only spray paint.
Hints of surrealism leap out and slap the viewer about while drawing you into a radiant explosion of unrestrained, spray-painted talent.
