Visitors to Edge NYC can now experience more than just spectacular views of Manhattan. The iconic observation deck at Hudson Yards has unveiled seven immersive art installations, including what is being called New York’s largest kaleidoscope, transforming the space into a destination for both art and architecture.
An Immersive Experience Above Manhattan
Created by design studios Softlab and Moment Factory, the installations encourage visitors to step inside the artwork rather than simply observe it. Using mirrors, light, sound, and interactive elements, each piece offers a unique experience while complementing the panoramic views from the 100th floor.
New York’s Largest Kaleidoscope
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a massive walk-in kaleidoscope that surrounds visitors with constantly shifting reflections and geometric patterns. As people move through the installation, the mirrored surfaces create an ever-changing visual experience, making every visit different.
